Shook Ones "Slaughter Of The Insole"

It's not every day that you put on a punk/hardcore record and feel so carefree; somehow, Bellingham, WA's Shook Ones has achieved that effect without losing any of the energy and aggression that defines the genre. "Slaughter Of The Insole," a 7" vinyl single, captures moments where the word "fun" fits perfectly between reckless and powerful - these two new songs, along with their rendition of Leatherface's classic "Not A Day Goes By," round out their seven minute (or so) debut release on Revelation. You can trace the Shooks' sound back to classic punk bands such as 7 Seconds and the Descendents, and while often garnering comparison to Lifetime and Kid Dynamite, their unique style has just as much in common with the aforementioned bands as it does with Jawbreaker and Hot Water Music. New pressing now available on green vinyl and is limited to 500 copies.
