    PAYMENT QUESTIONS:

    What forms of payment do you accept?
    We accept Visa or MasterCard credit/debit cards, money orders, international money orders, US checks or well-hidden cash. Please note all orders paid by check will be held until the check clears through your bank (usually four weeks). You will be charged a $25.00 bank fee if your check is returned to us for any reason by your bank. For more information, please see the Ordering Info page.

    How can I make purchases without a credit card?
    If your bank ATM card has the Visa or Mastercard logo on it, you can use that card to pay for your order. You can always pay by Check, Money Order, or cash by downloading our Mailorder Form (35K pdf, you will need Acrobat Reader to view it). Checks should be made payable to: "Revelation Records." First read the "Ordering and Payment Information" on page two, then fill out the order form and send it to us along with payment. Please do not forget to review the regular & foreign shipping rates and include payment for shipping. Send a Money Order, International Money Order, US Check or well-hidden cash (please only send cash via Registered Mail, we are not responsible for cash lost or stolen in the mail) for the total including shipping to us at the address on the Contact Us page (our address is also on the order form itself).

    *You may want to include a few alternate item choices in case something is out of stock.

    Do you take online orders from every country?
    Unfortunately there has been an increase in fraudulent orders from a few countries. As a result there may be instances where we ask you to pay by a method other than credit card. We will gladly accept international money orders or well-hidden cash. We reserve the right to refuse any order we suspect could be fraudulent, no matter what the geographic location may be. We are not responsible for cash lost or stolen in the mail, so please use Registered Mail for your own protection.

    How do I use credit I have?
    If you are using credit from a previous order just place an order as you usually would. In the comments box just type "Using Credit" and let us know your Customer Number if you know it. Your credit will be deducted from the grand total of the order.

    If you normally pay with credit card, you will need to include your credit card number and expiration date as you would with any order you place, but you will only be charged if your credit cannot cover all costs or shipping.

    How do I use a gift certificate to make a purchase?
    If you received a gift certificate in the mail you can easily make your purchase online. Simply place an order as you normally would. In the comments box write "gift certificate" and also include the Customer Number listed on the gift certificate. We track Gift Certificates by the Customer Number of the person who purchases the gift certificate, not the person they bought it for. Please do not use your own Customer Number (unless you are the one who purchased the gift certificate) because the certificate amount will not be reflected in our system.


    SHIPPING QUESTIONS:

    How long will it take for me to receive my order?
    We ship paid orders within 24 hours of receiving them Monday through Friday. If you paid for your order via a personal check that you sent us in the mail, please read the Ordering Info page and allow time for the check to clear through your bank. The shipping method you choose determines the speed of your delivery. Unfortunately there is not an exact science when it comes to the US Postal Service. Here is a rough estimate on the usual amount of time it takes our customers to receive their orders:

    PRIORITY MAIL: 2-3 business days
    MEDIA MAIL: 7-10 business days (2-3 for West Coast)
    AIRMAIL: 4-10 business days.

    Again, this is only a rough estimate based on surveys from our customers. So please remain patient if your package has not arrived within the specified time listed. If the order takes significantly longer, that could be a problem and you should contact us.

    Why are the international shipping charges so expensive?
    We do our best to keep our rates down, yet the shipping charges can seem a little expensive. With the ever-rising rates from the post office we must keep up to date in order to cover our costs. We are always working on ways to keep our costs down and will always pass on discounts to our customers whenever possible.


    QUESTIONS ABOUT ORDERS:

    What do I do if there is a problem with my order?
    In the rare event there's a problem with your order, contact us within 10 days of receipt. Let us know your Customer Number, Order Number, and what the problem was. We will work quickly to resolve the problem.

    Why did I not receive an item I ordered?
    When this happens it usually means the item was either out of stock, not available yet, a special order item, or out of print. You will never be charged for an item you did not receive.

    Why did I receive black vinyl when the website said it was on color?
    We cannot guarantee if every record is on colored vinyl or not. A lot of times we get a small amount of colored vinyl mixed in with black when we receive shipments. If we have it on color we will always send that first. But if only black vinyl is left, that is what will be shipped. If you really had your heart set on a colored copy and don't want black vinyl, let us know that in the comments section of your order stating that if color is not available, that you do not want black vinyl. But remember...black vinyl sounds just as good as color vinyl.


    RETURN/EXCHANGE QUESTIONS:

    How do I return defective merchandise?
    If you receive defective merchandise send us the defective item within 10 days of receipt along with an explanation of what the problem is. Make sure your package is marked and sent to the address in Contact Us. Include your Customer Number and invoice number for faster processing. Upon receipt/inspection we will re-send the same item that was defective or issue you credit if that item is no longer available.

    Can I return a shirt if I don't like the color or if it is the wrong size?
    Please read the note about shirts in the Ordering Info page. We will accept an exchange for shirts within 10 days of receipt if you don't like the color as long as it has not been worn or washed. You will, however, have to pay the shipping costs. If you received a shirt other than the size or design you specified, send us the incorrect shirt within 10 days and let us know what the problem is. Make sure your package is marked Attention: Returns and sent to the address in the Contact Us page. Upon receipt we will send the correct shirt at no cost.


    MISC. QUESTIONS:

    Do you have a printed catalog?
    We stopped printing paper catalogs a few years ago. You can download the last catalog we made here (2.6MB PDF, you will need Acrobat Reader to view it). RevHQ.com is always the best way to search for something we carry. You can also sign up for the weekly email update here to receive info on all the new items that are constantly being added.

    What if I can't find a certain item that I'm looking for?
    We want to be the best source for independent music. It is possible that we have what you're looking for but for one reason or another it isn't listed on the site yet. It's also possible that we aren't aware of the band/release that you might be searching for. Please send all requests, comments, and recommendations on labels, products, and releases you think we should be carrying to: webmaster@revhq.com.

    Will you sell me a Judge "Chung King" LP or Chain Of Strength with the silver sleeve?
    Sorry, but no. Many of us who work here wish we could own those gems. Periodically we put rare items up on the Revelation Records charity auction page. You can check there or you could just pay lots on eBay.

    How can I get my release on RevHQ.com?
    You can mail us a promo/sample along with a one sheet and any other important info pertaining to the release. Send it marked Attention: Buyer to the address in Contact Us. After review our distribution buyer will contact you if we are interested in distributing your record. MP3's are not acceptable submissions for distribution or RevHQ.com consideration, we'll need to see the finished product.
